Our employees are the basis of our economic success. With their talent, creativity and commitment, they ensure that ProSiebenSat.1 remains competitive now and in the future. We support them with a sustainable and responsible human resources strategy.

A few years ago, we were still a conventional TV corporation, but now we are much more than television: We are a digital media company with businesses ranging from e-commerce and international program distribution to our own multi-channel network. Our corporate culture is characterized by an unfaltering willingness to change and innovate. We thus offer our employees an exciting working environment with lots of creative leeway. We support this process with numerous human resources measures that are derived from the strategy and that strengthen the Company’s innovative power.

Diversity Management

As a media company, ProSiebenSat.1 is a people business. We appreciate and respect the individual characteristics of our employees. They are an important part of our corporate culture. We are convinced that our ability to compete in the future is significantly dependent on how we promote and use this diversity. We feel that it is particularly important for us to achieve a good balance of men and women within the Company and in management positions. In 2015, 46.8 % of ProSiebenSat.1 employees were female (previous year: 45.5 %) and 53.2 % were male (previous year: 54.5 %).

Work-Life Package

It seems natural to us to help our employees balance career and family life. Our company agreements aim at a good work-life balance for our employees. At our headquarter location in Unterföhring, we offer corresponding services to all employees, including temporary and part-time employees.

Recruiting, Education and Training

In order to succeed in a dynamic industry environment in the long term, it is particularly important to ProSiebenSat.1 Group that its employees continue to develop. We invest purposefully in the development, education and training of our employees — regardless of their level in the hierarchy. For this purpose, there are training measures that apply throughout the Group to help colleagues with and without management responsibility to acquire new knowledge and skills. In December 2014, ProSiebenSat.1 also introduced the electronic job recommendation program Talentry, which turns employees in the Group into recruiters: They are able to recommend appropriate candidates for vacancies and receive a bonus if the recommendation is a success. Additionally, ProSiebenSat.1 uses social media channels such as Facebook to approach talented individuals. 


With performance-based compensation, ProSiebenSat.1 gives its employees an appropriate share in the Company’s success. The compensation depends on the function performed and is therefore gender-neutral. Salary differences may arise from individual performance differences. Men and women in similar positions at ProSiebenSat.1 Group have the same earning opportunities.

Social Day

Taking responsibility and working to help others together: these are the goals the ProSiebenSat.1 Social Day aims to fulfill. Since 2013, employees have had the opportunity to volunteer with charities and social institutions twice a year during working hours. Organizations in Munich that benefited from these activities in 2015 and 2016 included the Salesianum home for refugees in Haidhausen, the foundation for blind women in Neuhausen-Nymphenburg, and the The Ark in Moosach. Altogether, over 300 staff have participated in the Social Days so far.
