We regard the popularity of our stations as an opportunity to generate enthusiasm for important issues such as sustainability, tolerance and diversity among young people, and to communicate fundamental values.

One example of this is ProSieben’s "Green Seven" week: It raises public awareness of ecological issues and shows how everyone can do something to help protect the environment. In addition, ProSiebenSat.1 Group signed the “Charta der Vielfalt” ("Charter of Diversity") and thus highlights the commitment to creating a work environment free from prejudice and exclusion, and where diversity is encouraged among employees.

During the annual “Green Seven”-theme week, ProSiebenSat.1 Group uses its large reach to catch especially the young viewers’ attention in order to promote a sustainable and environmentally friendly lifestyle. In 2015, the call to action was “Save the Bees,” training the spotlight on the threat to the bee population and mobilizing people to protect their ecosystems. “Save the Water” was the 2016 motto for the initiative launched back in 2009. Even outside “Green Seven Week,” ProSiebenSat.1 Group regularly provides space to environmental issues in its programs in.

Challenge

The TV magazine Challenge inspires people and breaks down prejudices.

The monthly TV magazine Challenge on SAT.1 Gold and kabel eins is produced under the aegis of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Behinderung und Medien e.V., an association that works to promote inclusion in the media, and features reports on the lives of people with disabilities. Its aim is to inspire others to live active lives to the full extent their abilities allow. The show is also designed to generate publicity and break down prejudices, thereby promoting the concept of inclusion in the community.
