Munich, July 1, 2025. Truly strong. ProSiebenSat.1 super streamer Joyn celebrates the best quarter in its history. Usage and watchtime increase significantly. The linear channels SAT.1, ProSieben and Kabel Eins grow significantly in the second quarter of 2025 compared to the previous year. In June, all linear channels grew in their target groups and among viewers aged 14-59 compared to the previous year: SAT.1 (+1.8 percentage points), ProSieben (+1.2 percentage points), Kabel Eins (+0.7 percentage points), Sixx (+0.3 percentage points), SAT.1 GOLD (+0.6 percentage points), ProSieben MAXX (+0.3 percentage points), Kabel Eins Doku (+0.1 percentage points).

It is a positive signal for us that the total number of Joyn users, Joyn watchtime and the market share of linear channels have increased significantly compared to the previous year. Our sports rights in particular have achieved strong growth. Joyn: 31% increase in users in the second quarter
The ProSiebenSat.1 streamer Joyn is celebrating its best quarter ever. The number of average monthly users increased by an outstanding 31% compared to the same quarter last year and by a strong 14% compared to the previous record quarter Q1. In terms of watchtime, the superstreamer saw significant growth, increasing by 26% compared to the same quarter last year. The main drivers for the strong usage of Joyn are the XXL soccer summer with the U21 European Championship and the FIFA Club World Cup, the final of the ProSieben hit "Germany's Next Topmodel - by Heidi Klum", the SAT.1 show "Die Landarztpraxis" (The country doctor's office) and the creator original "The Race".
SAT.1: Soccer sets new highs
Fantastic live soccer boosts SAT.1 ratings to a summer high! On June 28, SAT.1 celebrated its best day since 2012 with a 16.6% market share in its target audience (viewers aged 14-59 years). Overall, outstanding results for the European Under-21 Championships and the FIFA Club World Cup gave the channel its best month since October 2024 and growth of 1.8 percentage points compared to June 2024: SAT.1 achieved a very good 6.4% market share in June. SAT.1 closes the second quarter of 2025 with a good 6.1%. Particularly successful: Access Prime from 5 p.m. with "Notruf" (Emergency call), "Lenßen übernimmt" (Lenßen takes over) and "Die Landarztpraxis" (The country doctor’s office). In this timeslot, the second quarter of 2025 is the best in three years.
ProSieben: Best quarter since 2023 (Q4)
ProSieben ends the second quarter of 2025 with a market share of 7.5% in its channel target group (viewers aged 14-49 years). This represents a significant increase of 0.6 percentage points compared to the previous year and the best quarter since Q4 2023. In June, ProSieben recorded year-on-year growth of a whopping 2.0% to 7.4%. These were the channel highlights in the second quarter: ProSieben celebrated the 20th season of "Germany's Next Topmodel - by Heidi Klum" with a market share of 23.4%. "Schlag den Star" (Beat the star) stood out with an outstanding 22.3% (June 7) and its best ratings since 2022. "Joko & Klaas gegen ProSieben" (Joko & Klaas vs. ProSieben) boomed in April with a market share of up to 19.0%. Hot sport: The Ice Hockey World Cup turns up the heat in May with market shares of up to 17.9% for games involving the German national team.
Kabel Eins is growing- with top ratings in the early evening and strong prime time
"Achtung Kontrolle!" (Attention control!) celebrates an annual best in the early evening with 5.3%. "Mein Lokal, Dein Lokal" (My restaurant, your restaurant) shines with top market shares of up to 5.5%. Another guarantee for growth at Kabel Eins: prime time. Peter Giesel with "Achtung Abzocke" (Attention rip-off), the new double "Yes we camp!" and "Zwischen Meer und Maloche" (Between sea and hard work) as well as outstanding feature films celebrate success in prime time. "Rosin's Restaurants" tops the list of the most successful Kabel Eins formats on Joyn.
