Chairman of the Executive Board (Group CEO)
Rainer Beaujean, born 1968, has been Group CEO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE since January 1, 2022. Prior to that, he was Chairman of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer of the Group as of March 26, 2020, respectively already as of July 1, 2019 its Group CFO. The manager looks back on 20 years of experience as CEO and CFO of listed companies and is considered to be extremely analytical and implementation-oriented. In his successful career, Beaujean has proven on several occasions that he can quickly build know-how in new industries, and is distinguished by his deep understanding of data and business models. He knows how to develop companies through both value-adding M&A transactions and strong organic growth, while building efficient structures and processes. His affinity for IT and digitization was particularly shaped during his more than ten years with Deutsche Telekom / T-Online.
Since March 31, 2020, Beaujean has also been member of the Supervisory Board of RBVG (Rheinisch-Bergische Verlagsgesellschaft mbH) in Düsseldorf and simultaneously member of the Supervisory Board of its subsidiary RPG (Rheinische Post Verlagsgesellschaft mbH).
Beaujean came from the listed packaging manufacturer Gerresheimer AG to ProSiebenSat.1, where he was Chief Financial Officer as of 2012. Over seven years, he was responsible for important transforming M&A transactions like Sensile Medical and Centor and was also Speaker of the Board of Management of the packaging specialist for seven months in 2018.
Previously, Beaujean was Managing Director and CFO of the Elster Group, the world's largest manufacturer of measurement and control technology, and CFO of crane manufacturer Demag Cranes. During this time, he led Demag Cranes from the SDax to the MDax and was responsible for refinancing the company.
As CEO, Beaujean led the Internet provider T-Online from 2004 until its merger with Deutsche Telekom in 2006. Previously, in his function as CFO, he had already headed the company's finance department since 2000. In particular, Beaujean pushed ahead with the internationalization of T-Online, which at the time was the largest TecDax stock with a market capitalization of around EUR 10 billion.
Beaujean began his career in 1995 at Deutsche Telekom, where he held positions such as head of board member support for finance and controlling as well as head of controlling for all international subsidiaries. He studied at Saarland University and graduated with a degree in business administration (Diplom-Kaufmann).
