HD programming from ProSiebenSat.1 group available to Sky viewers in Free TV via HD+

SAT.1, ProSieben, kabel eins, and sixx HD television stations now also available via Sky receiver

Munich, 11 April 2011. In the future, satellite TV viewers will be able to enjoy Free TV HD programming from the ProSiebenSat.1 group via a Sky HD receiver. HD programming should be available starting this summer. High definition means that compared to previous quality, television images will now have a much higher resolution and incredible detail. In early 2010, the ProSiebenSat.1 Group began offering programming on three HD TV stations - SAT.1 HD, ProSieben HD, and kabel eins HD - through HD+. At the end of last year, high definition programming on TV station sixx HD was added to the lineup. The HD+ package currently includes programming from eight TV stations. HD+ is available via the HD receiver from Sky, via an HD+ receiver, or on full HD or HD-ready flat-screen TVs with a CI+ module. Christoph Bellmer, head of New TV for the ProSiebenSat.1 Group: "HD programming represents a huge leap in quality for viewers. We are happy that Sky satellite customers can now enjoy our incredible high resolution HD programming." maxdome press contact: Jasmin Mittenzwei
