More convenience, more downloads, more restart: Joyn+ gets an upgrade

Unterföhring, April 16, 2026. ProSiebenSat.1 is expanding the range of services offered by Joyn+: Subscribers to the streaming platform’s paid section will have access to a range of new features and exclusive content for an even more convenient and flexible viewing experience. The further development of Joyn+ incrementally complements the successful, double-digit growing and completely free ad-supported section of the ProSiebenSat.1 streaming platform.

The new features of Joyn+ include, among others, the new instant restart and download functions, as well as access to more polls and quizzes with premium prizes. On top of that, Joyn+ users will have exclusive access to complete collections of well-known and popular shows such as "Promi Big Brother" (Celebrity Big Brother), “The Masked Singer," "Das Duell um die Welt" (The Duel for the World) and others, with all seasons and episodes available exclusively on Joyn+ for binge-watching.

Joyn+ customers will be able to easily and conveniently restart live TV programs from the beginning. This instant restart feature will be rolled out gradually to all relevant platforms and operating systems over the coming weeks. They can also download up to ten pieces of content to their smartphones or tablets and watch them offline for 30 days. Furthermore, they have access to exclusive previews of their favorite shows, their viewing experience remains as ad-light as usual, and many channels and programs are available in HD quality. Joyn+ costs EUR 6.99 for new subscribers when signing a 12-month contract; for maximum flexibility with monthly cancellation, the price will be EUR 8.99 per month. The pricing model remains unchanged for existing customers; they have access to all enhancements and new features at no extra charge as long as they do not cancel their subscription.
