ProSiebenSat.1 Secures “Fack Ju Goehte” Sequel

ProSiebenSat.1 and Constantin Film Renew Licensing Agreement

Munich, April 3, 2017. ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE and Constantin Film are renewing their existing licensing deal and thus continuing their long-standing, successful collaboration. The exploitation rights cover all national and international in-house and co-productions of Constantin Film that will start shooting in 2017 and 2018. Numerous top films from the German production company will therefore continue to be broadcast on ProSiebenSat.1 stations in the years to come. The upcoming highlights include the third and final part of the “Fack Ju Goehte” series: After the first two films, which delighted a total of around 15.1 million moviegoers and count among the most successful German films of all time, director and screenwriter Bora Dagtekin and his team will conclude the trilogy this year. The first part of the cult series already had its free TV premiere on ProSieben in October 2016, achieving a record market share of around 32 % among 14- to 49-year-old viewers. Rüdiger Böss, Executive Vice President Group Programming Acquisitions, ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE: “By renewing this agreement, we have secured a first-class entertainment package that strengthens our competitive position in the long run. Constantin is one of the top addresses for talents and artists in Germany and offers exactly the right programming for our stations with its mix of German cinema hits, that perfectly reflect the zeitgeist, and international blockbusters. I am delighted that we are seamlessly continuing our long-standing collaboration.” Martin Moszkowicz, Chairman of the Executive Board, Constantin Film: “We are delighted that our long-standing and trusting partnership with ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE will persist and that our in-house and co-productions will continue to have a home on the stations of ProSiebenSat.1 Group.” In addition to Constantin Film, ProSiebenSat.1’s partners include Warner Bros., Disney, NBCUniversal, CBS, Paramount, Studiocanal and Twentieth Century Fox. ProSiebenSat.1 Group therefore has long-term agreements with nearly all major Hollywood studios as well as numerous important production and film companies. About Constantin Film Constantin Film AG has been a symbol of quality and success for nearly 40 years and has made a crucial contribution to the development and renown of the German film both at home and abroad.
