ProSiebenSat.1 secures sitcoms from NBCUniversal for the first time

Munich, March 19 2015. In a first for ProSiebenSat.1, the station family announced today that they have finalized a content licensing deal with NBCUniversal. The agreement gives ProSiebenSat.1 wide-ranging exclusive linear rights, plus free catch-up rights, in Germany to the Hollywood studio's new US sitcoms and select drama series. In addition, ProSiebenSat.1 has obtained beloved library titles from NBCUniversal as part of the deal. These include classic series such as "Battlestar Galactica", "Kojak" and "Columbo." The agreement also covers a selection of factual formats. The broadcasting rights apply to the ProSiebenSat.1 stations in Germany and include selected pay TV licenses alongside the exclusive free TV rights.
