Digital-Out-of-Home (DOoH): ProSiebenSat.1 Group is expanding into digital outdoor advertising

Unterföhring, February 8th, 2016. SevenOne Media is expanding into digital outdoor advertising. To this end, the ProSiebenSat.1 marketer has reached an exclusive partnership agreement with Cittadino. With approximately 10,000 screens, Cittadino is one of the largest providers of digital market spaces in first-class and high-traffic locations, including ten airports, 350 gas stations, 390 service areas, various shopping centers, and public spaces in major cities and at the point of sales. Via the digital screens of partners, right from the start SevenOne Media will reach far more than 225 million additional contacts per month.

Through this partnership, SevenOne Media is adding Digital-Out-of-Home screens to its marketing options on TV, online, and on mobile terminal devices. The cross-channel potential additionally offers expanded marketing options – including for regional companies. The new business area will be bundled in a separate company, 7Screen GmbH, which will be based in Munich. The new company will be managed by Eva Adelsgruber (Chair) and Jan Schwark (COO).

Yet it is digital spaces in particular that offer the advertising industry the ability to use moving images to place brand development and sales messages through more flexible display options and the ability to interact with smartphones. We want to help to actively shape development and significantly advance the network expansion. And, with that, we want to acquire new target-group-specific touchpoints in public spaces for our customers.”
