The 4GAMECHANGERS Festival was born in 2016 from the idea of creating a place where experienced experts and established personalities could come together with young visionaries. Co-Founder Nina Kaiser and ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 wanted to create a format that would bring together social, economic and technological topics of the future and enable a genuine exchange between different perspectives.
"A festival that offers added value to us as ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4, our guests and speakers – namely, getting to know each other, networking, engaging in dialogue and discussing relevant future topics together", says Kaiser, summarizing the core idea.
Focus on partnerships and cooperation
At this year's event star presenter Arabella Kiesbauer and PULS 24 Head of News Corinna Milborn hosted the evening. The discussions focused on cooperation in the digital age, media competence and strengthening Europe.
The question was also raised as to how national media companies can strengthen their position in international competition. Although the industry has sufficient creativity, strong platforms and a vibrant ecosystem, more political support will be needed in the future to enable even better cooperation. An approach for this comes from our own company: "With the new #OneSales structure, we are combining TV and digital sales into a single point of contact – faster, more creative and leaner," explained ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 Commercial Director Peter Strutz. "That's our USP: next level sales, next level reach and next level content."
Our streaming platform JOYN was also a topic of discussion during the evening. Fabian Knauseder-Wöhrer was optimistic: "JOYN has been stable and competitive for 1,000 days. The platform is well positioned, and our claim is that you will always find something that appeals to you. Today, we can see very clearly that linear TV and streaming can work together excellently: formats such as 'Bauer sucht Frau' perform just as strongly on JOYN in streaming as they do on traditional television."
