Dr. Jan Kemper to become CFO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE

Munich, December 7, 2016. Dr. Jan Kemper (36) will be appointed to the Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE as Chief Financial Officer, from June 1, 2017. Kemper is currently Senior Vice President Finance at online retailer Zalando SE, where he is in charge of Finance, Real Estate and Indirect Procurement and successfully oversaw the company's IPO. At ProSiebenSat.1, he will succeed Dr. Gunnar Wiedenfels, who is leaving the company at the end of March 2017 to join Discovery Communications in New York. From April 1 to May 31, 2017, Ralf Peter Gierig will be heading the Finance department in his role as Deputy CFO. During this time, he will report to Thomas Ebeling and starting June 1, 2017 to Dr. Jan Kemper. Dr. Werner Brandt, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, said: “Over the last six years, Jan Kemper was responsible for finance at a rapidly growing, publicly traded company, so he is an ideal fit for ProSiebenSat.1. Prior to that, he was an investment banker for Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. Kemper studied business administration at WHU Vallendar, has a master's degree from KEDGE Business School in Bordeaux and earned his doctorate at RWTH Aachen.
