New Management at ProSieben

Dejan Jocic leaves the company
Andreas Bartl is new Managing Director

Munich, December 8, 2005. ProSieben is getting a new management. Andreas Bartl, 42, has been appointed to the new Managing Director of the German TV station, effective immediately. The former Managing Director of ProSieben, Dejan Jocic, 33, is leaving the company due to differences in opinion over the future direction of the TV station. We wish to thank Dejan Jocic for his dedication and hard work for ProSieben. We continue to regard Dejan Jocic as a friend and wish him all the best for his future career, said Guillaume de Posch, Chairman of the Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG.

Guillaume de Posch continued by saying: I am delighted that Andreas Bartl, one of the most widely-recognized broadcast executives in the German television market, will be taking over ProSieben. I am confident that Andreas Bartl will further strengthen the unique positioning of ProSieben as a premium brand for young entertainment.

Prior to his new assignment, Andreas Bartl served as Managing Director of the TV station kabel eins. A new Managing Director for kabel eins will be appointed in the next few weeks. In the meantime, Andreas Bartl will continue to serve as Managing Director of this TV station as well. Andreas Bartl studied American studies, communications and political science in Munich. Thereafter, he worked as a journalist and film producer. Bartl joined ProSieben in 1991. He became head of film production in 1995. In 1996, he was appointed head of Program Planning and in 1997 Deputy Program Director of the TV station. He was appointed Chief Program Director for kabel eins in October 2000.

Dejan Jocic was appointed Managing Director of ProSieben in May 2004. During his tenure, the TV station aired successful reality shows like Sarah & Marc in Love, extended the TV-program Galileo and launched Galileo Spezial, TV total events were extended to other areas such as politics. ProSieben also established the Made-by-ProSieben series, with successful productions like Tsunami. Before assuming the Managing Director position at ProSieben, Dejan Jocic was Director of Operations of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group and Managing Director of the subsidiary ProSiebenSat.1 Produktion. Dejan Jocic began his career in 1992 with Deutsches Sportfernsehen (DSF). In 1999, he was appointed General Manager TV and Program Director of Kirch New Media. From 2000 to 2001, he was Head of Development for the pay-TV provider Premiere World. In 2001, he was appointed Director of the Sports Services Center with DSF, before moving back to the ProSiebenSat.1 Group in January 2003.
