ProSiebenSat.1 Group Signs Contract with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution

TV corporation secures Free-TV rights to Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions

Munich, January 5, 2004. The ProSiebenSat.1 Group has secured Free-TV rights to numerous blockbuster films and top series from Warner Bros. International Television Distribution. Highlights of the agreement include the two successful films Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions, seen respectively by 4.6 million and 2.2 million viewers thus far in German theaters. Germanys largest television corporation also obtained the rights for The O.C. currently one of the most successful new TV series in the US and for the highly attractive series Cold Case and Two and a Half Men. The agreement represents the ProSiebenSat.1 Groups first major program purchase directly from Warner Bros.

The package of over 30 theatrical releases and six series also includes the box-office hits Cradle 2 the Grave with Jet Lee, the teen horror hit Final Destination 2, the current screen success Matchstick Man with Nicolas Cage, as well as Freddy Vs. Jason. Further top films in the package include Last Samurai, the new major production starring superstar Tom Cruise, and the eagerly awaited comedy Somethings Gotta Give, starring Oscar winners Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton.

This agreement with Warner has allowed us to further build up our supply of attractive theatrical releases and series from Hollywood, commented ProSiebenSat.1 CEO Urs Rohner. Weve now signed agreements with almost all key US studios in the last 12 months. Our stations are definitely considered the first place to look for great Hollywood cinema in German television.

Were very pleased to have signed this new agreement with ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG, stated Jeffrey Schlesinger, President of Warner Bros. International Television. This agreement speaks for the quality of our product and for the healthy appetite of German TV viewers for good programming.

The agreement was negotiated for Warner Bros. International Television by Dr. Sylvia Rothblum, Managing Director for German Speaking Territories, WBITV.

The first films and series in the Warner package will be available to ProSiebenSat.1 Group stations as early as 2004.
