ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG obtains court decision against onlinetvrecorder

Munich, August 28, 2006. The ProSiebenSat.1 Group has obtained a judicial decision from Leipzig Regional Court against the onlinetvrecorder.com Internet service. onlinetvrecorder.com works as a virtual video recorder, offering users a selection of TV programming through its own electronic programming guide. The Leipzig court ordered the Internet service to stop storing or reproducing programs, making them available to the public, or transferring them to third parties, because such activities are an infringement of the broadcasters copyright.

The ProSiebenSat.1 Group sees the courts decision as confirmation of its own opinion that its programming signals cannot be used by service providers of any kind without the Groups permission.
