ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG Sells sonnenklar TV to Travel Vendor BigXtra

Munich, September 22, 2005. ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG has sold travel sales channel sonnenklar TV to the Munich travel corporation BigXtra. The two companies signed their agreement. BigXtra will take control of sonnenklar TV effective October 1, 2005.

The transaction is to close with the completion of antitrust procedures in October 2005 Headquartered in Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart, sonnenklar TV is a 24-hour television channel that specializes in travel sales. The station was founded in March 2003, and has a technical reach of some 16 million households using TV. The station is licensed by the Baden-Württemberg State Communications Agency, and is owned by Euvia Media AG & Co. KG, which was taken over in full by ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG as of June 1, 2005. However, the Group has decided to sell sonnenklar TV because it offers too little synergy with the Groups other activities.

In BigXtra, a long-time partner of sonnenklar TV will become the stations new owner. Having a travel vendor as the owner will open up new prospects for the channel. We wish sonnenklar TV and its employees all the best and every success in the future, said Guillaume de Posch, CEO of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group.

As a low-cost travel vendor, Munich-based BigXtra Touristik GmbH has established itself as a specialist in new sales channels in the online and print sectors. The travel company produces travel offerings for in-store sales through travel agencies as well as through alternative sales channels.
