ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG to review Axel Springer proposal to sell channel

Munich, January 11, 2006. Axel Springer AG announced today via adhoc release that the Executive Board of Axel Springer AG has decided to propose to the Federal Cartel Office the divestment of the TV network ProSieben after completion of the takeover in order to get the authoritys approval of the planned takeover of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG.

ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG was not involved in the discussions with the Federal Cartel Office about a potential divestment of its TV station ProSieben. Except for the adhoc release, ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG has no further information. The Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG will analyse such potential proposals when further information is released by Axel Springer or the Federal Cartel Office.
