PULS 4 to acquire Austrian TV station ATV

Munich/Vienna, February 7, 2017. ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 plans to take over the Austrian TV group ATV from Tele München Fernseh GmbH & Co. Produktionsgesellschaft. Correspondent contracts were completed on February 6, 2017. The acquisition must be approved by the responsible media and antitrust authorities in Austria. Markus Breitenecker, Managing Director ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4: “The objective of the acquisition is to integrate ATV into ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 Group and thus to strengthen ATV’s position on the Austrian TV market sustainably.” Dr. Herbert G. Kloiber, Chairman Tele München: “I’m glad that we found the best solution for the company’s continuance.” With the planned integration and restructuration, PULS 4 intends to secure the existence of ATV in the long term. ATV and PULS 4 would reciprocally benefit in particular from the know-how and processes within the station family. The private Austrian TV station ATV went on air in 2003, ATV2 followed in 2011 and ATVsmart in 2016. The stations are operated by ATV Privat TV GmbH & Co KG and belong to Tele München Fernseh GmbH & Co. Produktionsgesellschaft. ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 GmbH is a subsidiary of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE.
