Quadruple Congratulations on Four “Blue Panthers” for the ProSiebenSat.1 Group
Munich, June 11, 2011. Four productions and
artists at ProSiebenSat.1 TV Deutschland GmbH won the "Blue
Panther" award yesterday evening, at the 23rd Bavarian Television
Prize ceremony at the Prinzregententheater in Munich.
Actor Vladimir Burlakov received the Best Young
Actor prize for his performance as Marco W. in the major
SAT.1 TV event, "Marco W. - 247 Tage im
türkischen Gefängnis." "An outstanding performance by a
young talent who arouses high expectations for the future," said
the enthusiastic jury.
Henning Baum won Best Actor in a Series for his
role in SAT.1's "Der letzte
Bulle." An extract from the jury's reasons: "Crackling
repartee, temperament, a rough exterior and a soft heart create a
'Don Johnson of Rüttenscheid,' every facet of whom Henning Baum
makes unmistakable and engaging through his accomplished
acting."
Scriptwriters Stefan Scheich and Robert
Dannenberg were recognized for their "successful
implementation" of the series concept for "Der letzte
Bulle" (SAT.1), which they conceived
while they were still in film school. The jury had special praise
for "a well-orchestrated, lively ensemble of authentic and lovable
characters, (…) fast-paced dialogue, pithy repartee, comedy of
situation, and (…) credible worlds of feeling and life."
Music journalist and TV host Markus Kavka
received the Bavarian Television Prize for his "outstanding series"
on the life and work of heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne, in the
kabel eins entertainment series "Number
One!" The jury said: "He believably communicates his love
of music and musicians to the viewer. His research and questions
show his enthusiasm, yet he never loses the necessary
distance."
Said Andreas Bartl, the Executive Board Member for German TV at
the ProSiebenSat.1 Group: "I want to congratulate our winners
heartily on their Bavarian Television Prizes. It's an honor for our
stations, and a privilege to work with such gifted artists and
authors. In Vladimir Burlakov we discovered an exceptional talent;
Henning Baum plays the 'letzte Bulle' so soulfully that we laugh
with him and find him moving at the same time. That's certainly
also an achievement of the wonderful writers Stefan Scheich and
Robert Dannenberg, who have not only created believable characters,
but dialogue that has no equal today for wit and depth. Last
but not least, we're also delighted for Markus Kavka, who speaks
the language of the great rock stars, and has thus created
outstanding music documentaries for us on 'Number One!'"
And one more award: At yesterday's "Festival de Télévision" in
Monte Carlo, Annette Frier won the "Golden
Nymph" for Best Actress in a TV Comedy Series for her role
in "Danni Lowinski" (SAT.1).
