Ralf Peter Gierig to lead Investor Relations at ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG

Insa Calsow leaves the Company on August 15, 2004

Munich, July 20, 2004. Ralf Peter Gierig, 38, is to become head of Investor Relations at ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG. Ralf Peter Gierig is currently head of Finance & Treasury at ProSiebenSat.1-Group. As Director Finance & Investor Relations he will be responsible for both departments as of August 15, 2004. He reports directly to Lothar Lanz, member of the Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG and in charge of Finance, Legal Affairs & Human Resources. Insa Calsow, 41, until now Director Investor Relations, will leave the Company on August 15 to join Kabel Deutschland.

Ralf Peter Gierig is a renowned specialist in finance and has extensive knowledge of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group. I am glad to be giving the responsibility into such capable hands, says CFO Lothar Lanz. My thanks go to Insa Calsow for her outstanding work as Director Investor Relations these past six years. She has made a significant contribution to the positioning of ProSiebenSat.1 in the capital market. I wish her the best of luck in her new job.

Ralf Peter Gierig studied in Bayreuth, Cologne and London. Holding a university degree in economics, he started his career in 1992 at the Bayerische Hypotheken- und Wechsel-Bank in Munich, where he was responsible for special financing of Film- and TV-projects as well as for MBO- and LBO-transactions. In 1996 he joined ProSieben Media AG, in time for the preparations of 1997 IPO of the Company. As Director Finance & Treasury he was in charge of the Groups financing, its debt capital markets investor relations and the Groups treasury management. He was responsible for the conception and implementation of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AGs recent comprehensive refinancing, comprising the capital increase, a new syndicated credit facility, a bond issuance and a bond tender. All these transactions were completed successfully.
