Red Arrow International: Bell Media secures crime series “Bosch” for Canada

Munich, November 24, 2014. Bell Media has secured rights to crime series "Bosch" in Canada. Produced by Fabrik Entertainment, "Bosch" is based on Michael Connelly's book franchise, of which more than 55 million copies have been sold worldwide. The first season, which is currently in production for Amazon Studios, is directed by Jim McKay ("The Wire", "Boss", "Rectify") and showrun by Peabody Award winner Eric Overmyer ("Treme", "The Wire", "Homicide: Life on the Street"). Hollywood veteran Titus Welliver ("Argo", "The Good Wife", "Lost") stars as Harry Bosch in his first series lead role. Overmyer, Connelly, Fabrik Entertainment's Henrik Bastin, and Mikkel Bondesen are executive producers. Pieter Jan Brugge is co-executive producer, and Fabrik's Tara Duncan is producer. Red Arrow International manages international distribution for the series. The supporting cast includes Jamie Hector ("Max Payne") as Bosch's partner Jerry Edgar; Annie Wersching ("24"), who seduces Bosch as police officer Julia Brasher; and Lance Reddick ("The Wire"), who plays Harry's nemesis, the LAPD's Deputy Chief, Irvin Irving. Mike Cosentino, Senior Vice-President Programming, Bell Media, says: "Bell Media has a long history of showcasing some of the most acclaimed crime television series in the world, making 'Bosch' a perfect addition to our new SVOD service." Caroline Kusser, Senior Vice President North America, Red Arrow International, says: "'Bosch' is a must-see for crime lovers for 2015, with an extraordinary team behind the production and scoring top viewer ratings on Amazon for its pilot earlier this year. I'm thrilled that Bell Media has picked it up and I'm certain the Canadian viewers will be hooked!" About "Bosch"
With millions of fans around the world, LAPD homicide Detective Harry Bosch finally comes to television.
