Spiderman, Terminator and Angels & Demons at ProSiebenSat.1
Munich, March 30, 2009. The ProSiebenSat.1 Group has extended its licensing agreement with Sony Pictures International. Starting with US-releases of 2009, the multi-year deal assures ProSiebenSat.1 German free TV rights to more than 20 new Hollywood movies per year. The deal includes blockbusters like Spiderman 4, Terminator Salvation or the prequel to The Da Vinci Code Angels & Demons. Additional highlights are the new thriller 2012 by Roland Emmerich and the adaptation of the comic classic Tintin by Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson. Also part of the package are the rights to a number of new and library Sony Pictures series and TV movies. The deal was negotiated by Rüdiger Böss, SVP Group Programming Acquisition, ProSiebenSat.1, and Dr. Kerstin Gühne, VP Sony Pictures Television.

The ProSiebenSat.1 Group has entered into long-term agreements with nearly all major Hollywood studios, as well as numerous important producers and movie companies. Alongside Sony the companys partners include CBS, Paramount, Disney, Warner, MGM, Lucasfilm, Dreamworks, Constantin, Tobisfilm and Kinowelt.
