ZDF series and documentaries on Joyn: large free video-on-demand package from ZDF Studios on ProSiebenSat.1 streaming platform

Munich, January 30, 2025. All on Joyn! The streaming platform of ProSiebenSat.1 and ZDF Studios have signed a license agreement for 2,730 program hours with channel brands such as "KultKrimi", "ZDF Telenovela", "Herzfrequenz" and "Doku Über" as well as popular brands such as "Küstenwache", "Wege zum Glück", "Derrick", "Ein Fall für Zwei" and "Herzflimmern". Joyn viewers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland can watch content from the ZDF Studios portfolio on the platform for free and financed by advertising. This content deal strengthens Joyn's position as the largest free-to-air streaming platform.

Henrik Pabst, Chief Content Officer ProSiebenSat.1: "ZDF Studios' premium content is a real enrichment for the portfolio of our streaming platform Joyn. I am very pleased about this new license cooperation, which once again shows our viewers that we have the best free content offering for them on demand."

From the first quarter of 2025, the content will be available free of charge on Joyn and, if required, ad-free in the Joyn PLUS+ subscription area. In addition to fictional series, the titles licensed by ZDF Studios include various documentary programs in the fields of nature and history, such as "Im Reich der Tiefe" and "Frontlines – Kriegsschauplätze des Zweiten Weltkriegs". Seven. One Media is responsible for advertising sales of the new content on Joyn.
