Changing Transponders: Digital Satellite Programming from ProSiebenSat.1 Group to Use ASTRA Tx 107 Starting Today
Munich, April 2, 2007. The ProSiebenSat.1 Group is reorganizing its digital satellite broadcasting on the ASTRA platform. Starting today, viewers who use a digital satellite receiver will be getting Sat.1, ProSieben, kabel eins, N24 and 9Live via ASTRA transponder 107. During a three-month simulcast phase that will run until June 30, programming will still also be available on the old transponder 104. There will be no changes for viewers who get ProSiebenSat.1 Group programming via analog satellite, cable, DVB-T or DSL.
Those who use digital satellite receivers can tune them to the new reception parameters via the equipments manual or automatic search functions, and then save the channels at their usual place. For the manual search, the following parameters have to be used: ASTRA 1G 19,2° E, downlink frequency 12.544 Mhz, symbol rate 22.000, FEC 5/6, polarization horizontal.
The change to transponder 107 will significantly improve transmission quality, since the new transponder will be used only by ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG channels and the available capacity can be utilized more flexibly.
