Focus on Transformation: Katharina Frömsdorf Appointed Chief Transformation Officer at ProSiebenSat.1

Unterföhring, May 12, 2025. ProSiebenSat.1 is setting further course for the dynamic transformation of its organization and operational business. The media company is creating the position of Chief Transformation Officer (CTO). Katharina Frömsdorf (47) will take on the role effective immediately, and will oversee growth priorities and processes. In this context, she will also join the management board of the Seven. One Entertainment Group and, in addition, assume responsibility for HR topics at ProSiebenSat.1 as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

Bert Habets, Group CEO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, said: "As a media company, we are in the midst of a dynamic and ongoing transformation process. By creating the role of Chief Transformation Officer, we are emphasizing our ambition to actively shape this process with the right initiatives and offerings. Katharina Frömsdorf is the perfect fit for this role, as she has demonstrated through the impressive growth story of Joyn how determined transformation must be carried out in order to succeed with both audiences and advertisers. We will continue this path across all areas of our company."

In her role as Managing Director of the Seven. One Entertainment Group, Katharina Frömsdorf will be responsible not only for the Business Transformation Office but also for Content Operations, New Business, and other growth areas such as the podcast business of Seven. One Audio and the influencer network Studio71. She will also work closely with the Tech & Data teams. Given the central role of talent development and management in transformation processes, Frömsdorf will also oversee the HR division of ProSiebenSat.1 as Chief HR Officer. Frömsdorf has been with ProSiebenSat.1 for nearly 20 years, having developed and expanded new business areas such as podcasts, influencer marketing, and the event agency MMP. Most recently, she has closely integrated the streaming platform Joyn as a central element of ProSiebenSat.1’s corporate strategy across all business units and transformed it into the fastest-growing "superstreamer" on the market. As part of the ongoing company-wide transformation, Joyn will be fully integrated into the group, and the role of Joyn CEO will be phased out.

"Transformation in our industry is a continuous and cross-functional process. By consolidating these topics within a central Business Transformation Office, we’re sending a clear signal both to the market and to our employees. After all, it’s crucial to shape transformation — internally and externally — through dialogue with all stakeholders. I look forward to this new cross-functional role and to working closely with all areas of our company." says Katharina Frömsdorf, the new Chief Transformation Officer at ProSiebenSat.1 and Managing Director of the Seven. One Entertainment Group.

“UKIMWI” is spelled out in capital letters on the ground of the dusty sports field in Bukoba, Tanzania. Ukimwi is Swahili, and it means AIDS. The children from the elementary school put the word together using lots of little wooden sticks.
