Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt to Leave Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG
Munich, January 23, 2006. Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt, 49, will be leaving the Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG. Mr. Meyer-Burckhardt has decided to accept an offer by Studio Hamburg Group as Managing Director of its affiliate Polyphongruppe as of July 1, 2006. At ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt is responsible for Corporate Development, Media Policy and Regulatory Affairs.

Producing films has always been my passion and I would like to do my fifth movie directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel. Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt studied history and philosophy at the universities in Hamburg and Berlin and then studied TV and film at the College of Television and Film in Munich. He was a producer for neue deutsche Filmgesellschaft (ndF) from 1986 to 1987. In 1988, he moved to the BBDO agency in Duesseldorf, where he was Creative Director, Head of TV and member of the Board. In 1993, he co-founded, together with ndF, the new production company Akzente Film- und Fernsehproduktion in Munich. During these years, he produced many award-winning films like Das Urteil. In 1999, he was appointed Chairman of the Executive Board of Multimedia Hamburg, a joint venture of Axel Springer AG and Studio Hamburg GmbH. During this time he produced films like Toedliches Vertrauen as well as the award winning Mein letzter Film starring Hannelore Elsner. Hubertus Meyer-Burckhardt was Executive Board member in charge of Electronic Media at Axel Springer AG from 2001 to 2004. Since July 2004 he has been member of the Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG.
