Klaus-Peter Schulz to leave ProSiebenSat.1 Group
Munich, July 7, 2009. Klaus-Peter Schulz, 50, Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing of the ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG and Chairman of the Management Board of SevenOne Media GmbH will leave the ProSiebenSat.1 Group. This was agreed by Klaus-Peter Schulz and the Supervisory Board, as a result of different visions for the long-term structural set-up of the sales division. As a Member of the Executive Board since September 2008, Klaus-Peter Schulz was responsible for the Sales und Marketing division in German-speaking countries and the coordination of international sales activities. Thomas Wagner, 48, Managing Director Finance & Administration of SevenOne Media will become interim Chairman of the Management Board at SevenOne Media, until a successor has been found. He reports to Thomas Ebeling, CEO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG.

Christian Wegner, 35, Chief Strategy Officer, will assume the additional task of Managing Director Marketing and Operations of SevenOne Media.

After completing his university studies in political science, Klaus-Peter Schulz initially worked as a journalist before joining Initiative Media in 1988. In 1992, he took a job in Bremen with Kraft Foods as their manager of media and advertising before going to Sat.1 in 1996 as director of sales and services. In 2000, after the merger of the Sat. 1 and ProSieben marketing companies, he became Managing Director of SevenOne Media, which is now the marketing subsidiary of ProSiebenSat.1. From 2001 through February 2006, Schulz was CEO of OMD Germany, the fastest-growing media agency in the country. He then took over as CEO of the Germany-based BBDO Group. From early 2008, he acted as a consultant to the BBDO Group, before joining the Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 in October 2008.
Thomas Wagner has been Managing Director Finance & Administration of SevenOne Media GmbH, after acting as Director Finance & Administration; from 2001 until 2003. From 1998 to 2000 Head of Finance at Sat.1. Previously he held different management positions at Bayerische Hypotheken- und Wechselbank.
Christian has joint the ProSiebenSat.1 Group in 2004 and taken different management position within ProSiebenSat.1 Produktion, where he currently serves as Managing Director. In parallel, he had been appointed Chief Integration Officer to set-up and manage the synergy and integration process after the merger with SBS. Prior to joining ProSiebenSat.1, Christian spent five years as consultant at McKinsey & Company serving clients in the media, private equity, and finance industry. Christian Wegner was born in 1974 in Bad Homburg. After his business studies in Frankfurt/Main, he obtained a PhD at the university of Witten-Herdecke and the European Business School (EBS) Schloss Reichartshausen.
