March Audience Shares: German Free TV Stations Gain Ground, Widen Lead over RTL Deutschland Media Group
Unterföhring, March 31, 2010. ProSiebenSat.1 Media AGs German group of stations SAT.1, ProSieben, kabel eins and N24 earned a successful 30.4 percent audience share in March, a 1.7 percentage-point gain from February. Thus in March, the German Free TV Group again led the RTL Deutschland media group (RTL, Vox, Super RTL, n-tv), which earned a 29.9 percent share (up 1.3 percentage points from February). The German Free TV stations had a combined share of 29.7 percent for the first quarter of 2010, a gain of 0.6 percentage points over Q1 2009. The RTL Deutschland group closed out the first quarter with a 29.2 percent share (up 1.2 percentage points against Q1 2009).
