ProSiebenSat.1 extends contract with Group CFO Martin Mildner until 2029

Unterföhring, September 1, 2025. The Supervisory Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE has extended the contract of Group Chief Financial Officer Martin Mildner (55) for another three years until May 2029.

Since joining ProSiebenSat.1 in 2023, Martin Mildner has played a key role in strengthening the Group’s financial foundation and driving operational resilience. He has successfully implemented various efficiency initiatives, resulting in leaner cost structures and improved cash flow, even amid a challenging market environment. Under his stewardship, the company’s net financial debt was reduced and the leverage ratio maintained within the targeted range, reflecting disciplined financial management. Over the past two years, he focused also on promoting corporate governance and improving the risk management system within the Group and recently finalized the refinancing of the Group Debt. Martin Mildner also led the execution of targeted divestments, including the sale of Verivox in March 2025, which further sharpened the Group’s focus on its core entertainment business and strengthened its financial position.

Maria Kyriacou, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE: "On behalf of the Supervisory Board, I would like to thank Martin Mildner for his commitment to our company. His deep expertise in both financial management and M&A provides a solid foundation for ProSiebenSat.1’s strategic transformation. The continuity within the leadership team ensures that the company is set up to deliver against our ambitious strategy."

Bert Habets, Group CEO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE: "I am very much looking forward to continuing our close and trusting cooperation together with Martin. His dedication to ProSiebenSat.1 and his financial expertise have played a crucial role in successfully navigating the company through profound structural change in the media industry from day one."

Martin Mildner, Group CFO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE: "I would like to thank the Supervisory Board for the trust they have placed in me. It is important to me to support ProSiebenSat.1 with my expertise during this crucial phase and to ensure continuity. I will pay particular attention to intensive cooperation with MFE to realize synergies together and make optimal use of our strategic partnership."

Before joining ProSiebenSat.1 in 2023, Martin Mildner was CFO of MDAX-listed United Internet AG for almost three years, during which time he successfully took public the Group subsidiary IONOS. Until 2020, Mildner spent 13 years with the Hamburg-based Otto Group as General Counsel and Head of M&A. Martin Mildner began his career as a lawyer and tax advisor, initially for more than five years at the auditing and consulting firm KPMG and later as a partner at the commercial law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, before switching to the corporate side in 2007. Mildner studied law in Freiburg im Breisgau and is also a state-certified tax advisor.
