ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG appoints Peter Christmann as Executive Board member in charge of marketing and sales

Munich, January 14, 2004. Peter Christmann has been appointed to the Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG. As the Board member responsible for marketing and sales, he will be in charge of all marketing activities of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group. The 39-year-old Peter Christmann will perform his new duties alongside his function as managing director of SevenOne Media, the TV marketing subsidiary of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group.

By appointing Peter Christmann to the Executive Board, we are strategically enhancing our sales and marketing activities within the ProSiebenSat.1 Group, said Urs Rohner, Chairman of the Executive Board of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG. Peter Christmann is one of the most widely recognized, high-profile experts in the media business. We are delighted that all platforms across the group will benefit even more in the future from his comprehensive knowledge and prominence in the TV market.

Peter Christmann studied communication sciences and business administration at Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. He began his professional career in 1989 with Publitel in Munich, at that time TV marketing company of the broadcaster Tele 5. A year later he transferred to Publitalia Germany as sales director, and then to Publitalia 80 in Milan, where he was in charge of international sales. From 1993 to 1995 he was in charge of sales at Publipolska in Warsaw before joining MediaGruppe München in Munich as director of sales. In November 1999 Peter Christmann took over as managing director of MediaGruppe München, the marketing company for ProSieben, Kabel 1 and N24. Since the establishment of SevenOne Media in November 2000, Peter Christmann has been managing director of the TV marketing subsidiary of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group, which markets commercial airtime for the channels Sat.1, ProSieben, Kabel 1 and N24. Peter Christmann is married and has two daughters.
