Record. Joyn celebrates the best third quarter in its history // Linear ProSiebenSat.1 channels grow
Munich, October 1, 2025. Things are going well for Joyn. The third quarter of 2025 is the best third quarter in the history of the superstreamer. Both the number of users and watch time are growing compared to the third quarter of 2024. The seven linear channels – SAT.1, ProSieben, Kabel Eins, Sixx, ProSieben MAXX, SAT.1 GOLD, and Kabel Eins Doku – grew by a whopping +1.3 percentage points year-on-year to a 20.7% market share in the target group of 14- to 59-year-old viewers in the third quarter.
Joyn. Usage increases by 45%
Joyn shines with its best third quarter ever: usage increased by a whopping 45% in terms of watch time, and Joyn recorded 12% growth in users compared to the same quarter last year. The Joyn reality shows "The Power" and "Good Luck Guys," the SAT.1 hit "Villa der Versuchung" (Vila of temptation), the SAT.1 series "Die Spreewaldklinik" (The Spree Forest Clinic) and the NCIS franchise are particularly strong.
SAT.1. Strong growth in prime time
SAT.1 grew by 0.2 percentage points compared to the third quarter of 2024 and achieved a solid 5.7% market share in its target audience (viewers aged 14-59). Prime time was particularly successful. With a mix of soccer, the new reality show "Villa der Versuchung" (Vila of temptation), the factual series "Der SAT.1 Check" (The SAT.1 check) and shows such as "Das große Backen" (The great baking) and "Das 1% Quiz" (The 1% quiz), the station gained a whopping 1.2 percentage points to 6.6% in prime time (8:15 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.) – in August, SAT.1 was ahead of RTL in prime time for the first time in 34 years.
ProSieben. "TV total" cleans up
ProSieben ended the third quarter with a 6.1% market share in its target audience (viewers aged 14-49), which is on par with last year's level. ProSieben is delighted with "TV total" and Sebastian Pufpaff, which had its best season start in four years. Joko & Klaas win German television awards and win over viewers with #ESGQ. Heidi Klum celebrates "HeidiFest" and attracts maximum media attention.
Kabel Eins. True crime programs strengthen Friday
Prime time ratings at Kabel Eins hit new highs: The new true crime series makes Friday evenings more successful than they have been in years. The channel closes the quarter with 4.1% in its target audience (viewers aged 14-59).
