SevenOne International secures rights to Belgian comedy hit show “What if?”

Munich, September 21, 2011. SevenOne International has secured distribution rights to Shelter's latest hit show "What if?". Debuting on 2BE in March 2011, the prime-time sketch comedy show scored market shares of up to 13.1 percent (viewers 18-54), doubling the channel average. "What if" has already been sold to the biggest channel in the Netherlands, RTL 4. A second season has been ordered for Belgium. "What if?" is a imaginative roller coaster of sketches immersing viewers in life as it could be! Each sketch begins with a question that starts with "What if". What if Barbie were a real woman? What if the Titanic had never sunk? What if rock stars became butchers? In the US, NBC has ordered 12 half-hour episodes of "Benidorm Bastards" (local title "Off Their Rockers"), which will be hosted by seven-time Emmy Award winner Betty White. Kinetic Content will produce "Off Their Rockers". What if?
What if car mechanics were honest? What if people were more concerned with their spirituality? What if everyone loved art? In this brand new comedy show, the 16 to 18 short and witty sketches per episode are divided into three different categories: punch line sketches, build-up sketches and street interviews. A group of ten actors make up the cast for the first two groups of sketches, while the people in the street interviews are randomly chosen. SevenOne International
